There was completed the implementation  of the project „Repair of Regional family-consultative center BALIZ building, resulting in modernization of the facilities, providing  social services to people with disabilities.  That is the sixth partnership project of Pleven municipality and BALIZ Association, who have been cooperating for eight years successfully in the line of de centralization of the social services. The budget of the project, funded by the Social investment fund amounts to 46 592 BGNB, the project implementation continued for nine months.

In 2001Pleven municipality provided to BALIZ a building on 11 “Belmeken” street. Two years later within the frame of joint project, funded by PHARE program there was opened the Regional family-consultative center.
By this project there was renovated the façade of the center’s building, secured access for the disability persons, constructed new premises for reception room and archive and the remaining premises – modernized.  
The staff of the center consists of established specialists who provide the necessary services on site and homes. 52 families and individuals shall use the services, members of BALIZ, as well all remaining in need.
The activities of the centers continue to be improved by the implementation of the project „Expansion of the social services, provided in Regional family-consultative center” and supported by the Fund „Social assistance” that started min July this year.
