A real anniversary was the meeting of Pleven citizens with the original UEFA Champions League on the central square „Vazrazhdane”. After Ruse and Sofia our city was the third stop of the trophy in Bulgaria and the last of the first European trip. Organized by UniCredit Group.,  
The mayor Nayden Zelenogorski thanked the organizers of UniCredit Bulbank for that honor Pleven to be a host for one of the most prestigious sports award.

Both with the Regional   director of the bank, Rosen Arabadzahiev they expressed hope the Cup of UEFA to become possession of Bulgarian team. For the entertainment of the admirers of the most popular sport performances were made by the Municipal brass band, the children of choir „Zvanika”, the break group „Efect” and the hip-hop group of Chitalishte„Izvor”, the group for Latin American dances of Chitalishte for Latin dances „Hr. Botev”. Among the gathered people one could see many football veterans and children and youths from the city’s football schools.
From Pleven the Cup started for Madrid in expectation of the new champion.
