On the occasion the participation of delegation from Macedonian cultural enlightened society “Prashkev Tsvetkov” Pleven at the VІ congress of Union of Macedonian organizations in Bulgaria, the mayor Nayden  Zelenogorski  received letter of recognition from the chairperson of the union   associate professor  Nikolay Toshev.

The creative team  members of famous Pleven art school   “Kolorit” shall represent Bulgaria at the International  festival “The Small Montmartre  of Bitolya – 2009” in Republic of Macedonia, to  be held from 23 to 30 May.
At that prestige international forum shall take part 16 years old Ralitsa Bankova and 13 years old Yoanna Dimu. Underv the guidance of their art teacher Maya Ananieva the gifted Pleven girls shall paint ancient town’s architecture in Bitolya, Ohrid and Krushevo as well,  significant Middle age churches and monasteries.

The first in the country and unique in its intention exposition, dedicated to the life and creativeness of the unforgettable opera prima Gena Dimitrova was opened today in the Regional Museum of History, Pleven. The idea of the Mayor of Pleven, Nayden Zelenogorski for the establishment of the exposition was supported by the family of the singer and the director of the museum professor Mihail Grancharov.
The exposition is constructed on an area of 195 square meters. The author of the thematic plan is Natasha Hinkova – head of department “Modern and most contemporary history”, reviewers being senior scientific associate Svoboda Gyurova and  M of Arts Magdalena Manolova, musicologist  – performers – design company „Arka”.

Delegations of the twining to Pleven cities – Rostob na Don /Russia/, Kaiserslautern /Germany/, Segovia /Spain/, Braille /Romania/ and Bitolya /Macedonia/ honored the festive occasion of Pleven - 15 May.
The festive event was honored with their presence the co-chairman of the Blue Coalition Ivan Kostov, the leader of the “United Agrarian party” Atastasia Moser, the agrarian minister Valeri Tsvetanov, many local politicians and celebrities. The culmination of the anniversaries was the festive concert before the Water cascade of the city center.
