“LIDL” IS ENTERING IN PLEVEN |
German discount chain “Lidl” became an owner of municipal land plot of 4540 sq. m. in the housing estate “Storgozia”. The sale-trade contract was signed today by the mayor Nayden Zelenogorski and Kamen Koumanov – procurator of “Lidl Bulgaria”JSC. The value of the municipal land overruns 1 200 000 leva. Adding the land to the adjacent plot, already owned by the retailer, would allow “Lidl” to build a large store and a parking lot spreading over ten hectares in the spring this year. The idea is to build a multifunctional outlet with different business activities that will be a surprise for Pleven citizens. |

The Mayor Nayden Zelenogorski and his team had a meeting today with Mr. Adil Al-Shanfar – Vice President of a big company under the same name in Oman. The purpose of the visit of Mr. Al-Shanfar is to investigate the possibility for business development in Bulgaria. His company works in the spheres of power supply, petrol industry, trade, tourism, etc. Nayden Zelenogorski presented the history and culture of Pleven to the guests as well its economic potential. |

The Ambassador of Indonezia |
His excellency Mr. Imanuel Robert Incirivang Ambassador of Indonezia in our country had a meeting in Pleven with the Major Nayden Zelenogorski and his team. Mr. Incirivang visits our town on the recommendation of his colleagues. At the time of conversations he said, that his mission is to extend the relationships between the two countries established in 51 years period of time. The most important base for a collaboration are tourism, investments and trade. Bulgaria is already a member of the European Union and we estimate it as a guarantor of union’ s assurance,

There completed the implementation of Pleven municipality project “Forestation of abandoned or eroded municipal agricultural land”. It has been awarded by SAPARD program, measure 1.4 “Forestry, forestation of agricultural land, investments in wood-industrial husbandry, processing and marketing of forestry products”. Its objective is the restoration of the economical value of uncultivated and abandoned agricultural areas with consecutive providing of construction material and wood for house holds heating. |

“CONRAD ADENAUER” Foundation of Christian-Democratic union invited the mayor Nayden Zelenogorski to participate at a seminar in Germany, together with colleagues of him from UDF, DSB and GERB. The seminar is dedicated to the contemporary successful practices of the local governments, management of finances and development of the municipalities. During the progress of the forum the participants shall meet with representatives of central and local executive management in the cities of Berlin, Dresden and Leipzig. |
